Responsible Recruitment Program for the Consumer Goods Forum
Context
The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) Human Rights Coalition (HRC) sought to develop a new end-to-end ethical recruitment initiative: The Ethical Recruitment Marketplace
The Marketplace is an industry-led initiative from some of the world’s leading consumer goods brands that aims to use economic levers to address root causes of exploitative recruitment in Asia.
Challenge
The CGF needed to design a comprehensive program, including the Marketplace program’s strategy, objectives, KPIs, workplan, and budgets.
The Marketplace program needed to be designed in close consultation with key partners and stakeholders – including brands, suppliers, civil society, and workers.
The Marketplace needed to avoid duplication with existing efforts – while also taking an innovative approach that prioritises gradual progress and iterative development.
Solution
Humantics worked closely with CGF and its member brands to design the vision and strategy for the Marketplace program, and a detailed implementation plan.
Humantics led consultation workshops and co-design sessions with brands, implementing partners, worker organisations, and independent experts to inform the design of the Marketplace program.
Humantics will continue to support the Marketplace program as it moves from design to implementation, as the program manager for the Marketplace.
